Mobile Marketing: Far From Fired
As been discussed in many of the previous blogs on online promotions, mobile marketing is taking a forefront in interactive promotions and marketing. More and more television networks are jumping on this marketing platform by incorporating promotions, utilizing text messaging, into tv programs . Often these promos prompt the viewer to play along by texting a corresponding letter or code, in hopes of wining a prize by the end of the show. NBC has utilized this tactic on popular shows such as "Deal or No Deal," and "The Apprentice." After the winner is announced at the end of the show, viewers are reminded to "Go Online" for incentives such as "never seen before footage" and to register for other games/prizes.
